DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI – WELCOME TO KENYA
Upon arrival at JKIA Nairobi, you will be met by our Asunda Safaris representative and transferred to your Nairobi hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, you may choose an optional visit to the Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum, or a Nairobi City Tour.

DAY 2: NAIROBI → THE GREAT RIFT VALLEY → MASAI MARA
Approx. drive time: 5–5.5 hours
Leaving Nairobi after breakfast around 07:30, you journey through Kenya’s green highlands before the land suddenly opens into the vast Great Rift Valley. The road winds down the escarpment, offering sweeping views of ancient volcanic landscapes.
Pass the tiny stone chapel built by Italian artisans during WWII, a quiet reminder of history tucked into the hillside.
The valley floor stretches out in golden tones as Mount Longonot rises ahead and the great satellite dishes of the Longonot Earth Station gleam in the morning sun.
Your route then cuts across the rolling fields of Narok, where endless farms of barley and wheat blanket the countryside. By midday, the landscape transforms again as you enter the Masai Mara, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch and your first taste of the wild.
Afternoon Game Drive
After settling in, embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara. The rolling grasslands and acacia woodlands are alive with wildlife—elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and, if you're lucky, your first encounter with lions or cheetahs.
Return to your lodge as the sun sets over the Mara savannah.

DAY 3: MASAI MARA – FULL DAY OF GAME VIEWING & MAASAI CULTURAL VISIT
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, the best time to witness predators on the hunt before the heat sets in. The Mara at dawn is magical—herds grazing, big cats stalking, and the tranquillity of the plains unmatched.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch.
Afternoon Game Drive & Maasai Village Visit
In the late afternoon, enjoy another game drive followed by a visit to a Maasai Village where you’ll learn about their culture, traditions, and warrior dances.
Dinner & Overnight: Masai Mara
DAY 4: MASAI MARA → LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Approx. drive time: 4.5–5 hours
After breakfast, depart the Mara, climbing back through the highlands toward the Rift Valley lakes. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park for a short en-route game drive as you head to your lodge.
Afternoon Game Drive
After lunch, embark on a late afternoon game drive in this beautiful park famous for its rhinoceros population, including both black and white rhinos, lions, buffaloes, Rothschild giraffes, and incredible birdlife.
Return to the lodge at sunset.
Dinner & Overnight: Lake Nakuru
DAY 5: LAKE NAKURU → LAKE NAIVASHA (BOAT RIDE) → AMBOSELI
Approx. drive time: 6 hours total
After breakfast, check out and do a final morning game drive as you exit Lake Nakuru.
Lake Naivasha Boat Ride
Continue to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake famous for its hippos and spectacular birdlife. Enjoy a guided boat ride, getting close views of hippos and fish eagles.
After the boat excursion, proceed onward to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for a relaxed evening at your lodge with views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

DAY 6: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK – FULL DAY GAME DRIVE
After breakfast, head out for a full-day exploration of Amboseli, known for its large elephant herds and postcard-worthy views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Your full-day game drive includes:
- Visit to Observation Hill, offering panoramic park views
- Encounters with elephants, lions, cheetahs, hyenas
- Picnic lunch in the park or return to lodge for hot lunch
Return to lodge for dinner.
Dinner & Overnight: Amboseli
DAY 7: AMBOSELI → NAIROBI
Approx. drive time: 4–4.5 hours
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a final morning game drive as you exit the park.
Drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or JKIA for your flight home.
